About vehicle commerce and how it works

How do connected vehicles discover, authenticate, and transact for real-world services?

What is vehicle commerce?

Vehicle commerce enables connected vehicles to discover, authenticate, and transact for real-world services such as fueling, EV charging, parking, tolling, retail purchases, and mobility services directly from the vehicle experience.

Sheeva.AI provides the transaction infrastructure, location intelligence, and digital wallet capabilities that make these experiences possible.

What use cases does Sheeva.AI support?

Sheeva.AI enables vehicle commerce across a growing range of services, including fueling, EV charging, parking, tolling, car washes, and other mobility experiences.

Our platform combines location intelligence, digital identity, transaction infrastructure, and embedded digital wallets to enable connected vehicles to interact with real-world services directly from the vehicle experience.

Additional use cases, including drive-through ordering, curbside pickup, dealership services, and other connected vehicle experiences, continue to be explored with our partners.

If you are a merchant, service provider, or mobility operator interested in enabling your service through connected vehicles, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us to discuss your use case.

Who is the merchant of record on the transactions?

The merchant of record depends on the specific service and business model.

For example, in fueling it is typically the fuel retailer. In tolling, it may be the toll authority or an intermediary. In EV charging and parking, it may be the merchant, a municipal authority, Sheeva.AI, or another ecosystem participant.

Our platform is designed to support a variety of commercial and settlement models.

Who handles payment processing?

Sheeva.AI works with payment providers and financial partners globally and can integrate with existing payment rails and payment platforms.

Our flexible architecture allows OEMs, merchants, mobility providers, and financial institutions to leverage their preferred payment infrastructure while enabling a seamless vehicle commerce experience.

What makes Sheeva.AI different from contactless payments such as QR codes, RFID, or credit cards?

Traditional payment methods require drivers to interact with a phone, card, QR code, scanner, or payment terminal.

Sheeva.AI combines location intelligence, digital identity, and embedded payments to enable transactions directly from the vehicle experience.

Drivers can authenticate and transact with minimal interaction while reducing reliance on external hardware, improving convenience, and enhancing security.

Digital receipts are delivered automatically, eliminating the need for paper receipts and reducing friction throughout the transaction process.

Do you work with fleets or fleet management platforms?

Yes.

Fleets represent an important opportunity for vehicle commerce, particularly where vehicles, drivers, payment methods, and service providers must be managed at scale.

Sheeva.AI can integrate with fleet management platforms and support fleet-specific workflows across fueling, charging, parking, tolling, and other services.

Is your tech only for EVs? What about ICE or other alternative fueled cars?

Sheeva.AI is vehicle-agnostic and supports both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles, as well as alternative fuel vehicles.

Our platform enables vehicle commerce through cloud-based APIs and can support fueling, EV charging, parking, tolling, retail, and other services regardless of vehicle drivetrain.

The primary requirement is vehicle connectivity, which depends on the automaker and vehicle model. In general, Sheeva.AI can support virtually any connected vehicle.
